Land trusts and non-profits are key partners in conserving working forestlands for open space, abundant wildlife, clean water, and sustainable forest products. Finite has a long record of successfully connecting non-profits to carbon revenue. We help land trusts and their service providers to understand the complexities of carbon finance and deliver carbon projects with the highest economic and ecologic returns. In addition to registering the first land trust project for the North American compliance market, Finite developed the nation’s first aggregated compliance offset project between a land trust and family forest landowner. Our carbon development services are delivering much needed conservation capital to fund land acquisitions, forest conservation easements, and land stewardship practices.
